C O L L A B O R A T I O N S

We are looking for collaborations between artists and writers (with or without musicians) for our 2009 Season. We'd like to publish 40-page projects that sequence text and image to showcase a shared creation process. A team could react to a common impetus as writer Patrica Hampl and artist Steven Sorman did in Spillville: A Collaboration (Milkweed Editions): that duo visited Anton Dvorak's summer home and immersed themselves in his music. Or, each team member could create new pieces in a call-and-response to each other's work.   Or, ____. The pathways are limitless.

Send finished collaborations. We need the following camera-ready materials:

• TABLE OF CONTENTS | a list detailing the order in which you would like readers to encounter each writing and image.
• ARTIST STATEMENTS | one page per collaborator that discusses your collaboration process (WORD document)
• POEMS/FLASH-FICTION/MONOLOGUES   | at least twenty pages     (WORD document)
• IMAGES | up to 20 TIFF files @ 300 dpi   (burned to a disk)
• SASE for return of materials
